The Woodlands, Texas

Family Camping Experience at Camp Ter-Ra-Mont By Mary Connell

Get away without leaving The Woodlands!

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Community Associations Parks and Recreation Department wants to help you and your family reconnect with nature at the first annual Camp Ter-Ra-Mont. Enjoy the simple life for a night from Saturday, March 15, to Sunday, March 16, at Terramont Park.
“Families today spend a lot of their time inside,” said Kelly Dietrich, assistant director of parks and recreation. “We want to give grandparents, parents and children the opportunity to play under the stars, have fun and let their imaginations run wild.”
Camp Ter-Ra-Mont participants can choose to make s’mores, gaze at the stars, make and race toboggans, enjoy a night hike or flashlight scavenger hunt, watch for wildlife, play games, watch a movie, make crafts, tell stories around the campfire and much more!
The cost is $100 for a resident family of four, or $110 for a non-resident family of four. Additional family members are $25. Sleeping bags and tents are also available for purchase if needed.
Space is limited to 50 families, so register now! For more information, please visit the Community Association's Web site, and click on CampTer-Ra-Mont, or call 281.210.3950.
